With the stand up paddleboard, you see the quarry from a different perspective. It allows you to read the water better and just see more things around you.
When paddling through the water, it is best to kneel on the board to lower your centre of gravity if you are new. Some beginners start out with what we call the “rubber chicken legs”… where their legs seem to wobble and shake. But as they get confident… that disappears.
The SUP boards are not racing boards – we have wider than normal width to ensure extra stability for beginner paddlers.
So if looking for something different… try a stand up paddleboard on the quarry… it is not that hard!
